Unblocked Games 77 is yet another classic destination for school-friendly browser games. UBGHyper takes the same concept and modernises it: 620+ unblocked games, fast page loads, no popup ads, automatic tab disguise.

Whether you remember the originals or you're just looking for free games that work at school, every UBGHyper title runs directly in your browser — no Flash plugin, no Java, no install. The catalogue covers everything from idle games to shooters to physics puzzles.

Features the legacy UG77 sites can't match

  • Mobile-friendly responsive design. The legacy 77 sites are stuck in a desktop-only layout from 2015. UBGHyper works on phones, tablets, Chromebooks, and full desktops without breaking.
  • Light + dark mode. Light mode by default (easier on the eyes during a school day), one-tap dark mode for late-night sessions.
  • Random game button. Don't know what to play? Hit Random for an instant pick from the 620+-strong library.
  • Keyboard shortcuts. Backtick to toggle tab disguise, /-key to jump to search. Faster than the mouse-only legacy sites.

Why are there so many "Unblocked Games" numbers? (66, 76, 77, 88, 99, 911...)

It's the school-filter arms race. Every time IT departments block one URL, students set up the next one at a slightly different domain and a different number. The "77" branding just means "the next site after 76 got blocked." There were dozens of these forks at the peak of Flash-era unblocked games (2012-2018), but most are now defunct: the original creators graduated, hosting bills went unpaid, or Flash going away in 2020 took the catalogue with it.

UBGHyper is the modern consolidation: one maintained library that covers everything those scattered numbered sites used to host. Hosted on github.io (allow-listed at most schools), updated weekly, with a built-in tab cloak so a single blocked URL doesn't end the run.

The complete Flash archive — playable again on Ruffle

If you came to UG77 specifically for the Flash classics, here's the full archive UBGHyper has preserved via Ruffle (the open-source Flash emulator that loads automatically in your browser — no plugin needed):

Plus the modern HTML5 catalogue that emerged after Flash — Drive Mad, Polytrack, Minecraft 1.12, Cuphead, Bitlife, Block Blast, Buckshot Roulette, and many more.

How Ruffle works (and why it matters)

Adobe officially killed Flash on December 31, 2020. Every browser shipped a final update that disabled the Flash plugin. That broke roughly 80% of the existing unblocked-games catalogue overnight — which is the real reason the legacy UG66 / 76 / 77 sites are mostly dead today.

Ruffle is an open-source replacement, written in Rust and compiled to WebAssembly, that runs Flash games natively in the browser without needing the plugin. UBGHyper loads Ruffle automatically when a Flash game is opened — there's nothing to install, no extension, no admin permissions needed. It just works, including on Chromebooks where Flash never worked anyway.
