About Doodle Jump

Doodle Jump is the endless vertical jumper that defined the genre on early smartphones and still plays perfectly in a browser. You control the Doodler, a little green creature that bounces upward automatically, and your only job is to steer it left and right so it keeps landing on platforms and climbing higher. Fall off the bottom of the screen and the run is over. There's no finish line — just how high you can get.

The genius is in the escalating platform mix. At first you're hopping across simple static ledges. Then moving platforms slide side to side, breakable platforms crumble the instant you touch them, and disappearing platforms vanish after one use. Layer in springs and trampolines that fling you skyward, jetpacks and propeller hats that carry you up automatically, and black holes and monsters that end your run on contact, and every screen becomes a quick read-and-react puzzle.

Monsters are the real threat up high. You can shoot them by aiming and firing upward — but shooting freezes your horizontal aim for a beat, so there's a constant trade-off between defending and steering. Skilled players learn which monsters to shoot, which to bounce on, and which to simply dodge around.

Because the Doodler jumps on its own, Doodle Jump is pure one-axis control — deceptively simple, genuinely hard to master. Scores are measured in height, and beating your personal best by a few thousand is the whole hook. Runs are short and restarts instant, making it a perfect quick-session game.

How to play Doodle Jump

Controls. Left / Right arrows or A / D steer the Doodler as it auto-jumps. On some builds you can also tilt or use the mouse. Space or click shoots upward at monsters. The Doodler bounces on its own — you never press a jump button.

Tips:

• Line up your landing before you reach a platform — you steer in the air, so plan the next hop early.
• Springs and jetpacks are huge height gains; angle toward them whenever they appear.
• Breakable platforms only work once — treat them as a single bounce, not a place to linger.
• Shoot monsters you can't safely bounce on, but remember firing briefly locks your aim, so pick your moment.
