Privacy Policy
UBGHyper is built to be played without signing up or handing over personal data. This page explains exactly what is — and isn't — collected when you use the site.
Last updated: 21 July 2026
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-ups, and no login — there's nothing to register.
- Your favourites, saves, and playtime stats are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). We never receive them.
- We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which games are popular, and we run ads to keep the site free.
- You can wipe everything at any time by clearing your browser's site data.
What stays on your device
UBGHyper stores several things locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to us:
- Favourites — the games you've hearted.
- Game saves & progress — in-game data for titles like Bitlife, Retro Bowl, and Cookie Clicker. You can export and import this yourself on the Saves page.
- Playtime stats — how long you've played each game, shown on the Stats page.
- Preferences — your theme (light/dark) and tab-disguise choice.
Because this lives in your browser, it's tied to that specific browser and device. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (via Google Tag Manager) to see aggregate, anonymised usage — things like which games get played, how many visitors we get, rough device type, and approximate region. This helps us decide which games to add and which pages to improve. Google Analytics may set cookies and process data as described in Google's Privacy Policy. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other identifying information.
Advertising
Ads keep UBGHyper free. We work to keep them non-intrusive — there are no ads layered over the games themselves. Our advertising partners may include:
- A-ADS — a privacy-focused ad network that, per its policy, serves ads without cookies or personal data. See the A-ADS privacy policy.
- Monetag — may use cookies or device identifiers to show and measure ads. See the Monetag privacy policy.
Third-party advertisers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your browsing. You can manage or opt out of personalised advertising through Google Ad Settings, YourAdChoices, or your browser's cookie controls.
Cookies
Cookies on UBGHyper come from our analytics and advertising partners, not from us directly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site's core features (playing games, favourites, saves) will keep working, since those rely on local storage rather than cookies.
Embedded games
Games are embedded on UBGHyper via iframes that load content from their own hosted directories. When a game loads, your browser connects directly to that host, which may have its own data practices. We don't control third-party game hosts and aren't responsible for their policies.
Children's privacy
UBGHyper is a general-audience games site and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. We don't ask any visitor — of any age — for names, emails, or other personal details. If you believe a third-party partner has collected such data, contact us and we'll help address it.
Your choices
- Clear your data — clearing your browser's site data for ubghyper.github.io removes all favourites, saves, and stats.
- Block cookies — use your browser settings to block or delete advertising and analytics cookies.
- Opt out of ad personalisation — via the links in the Advertising section above.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site evolves or as our analytics/ad partners change. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version.
