About Slope
Slope is the iconic infinite ball-roller. You control a chrome ball hurtling down a neon canyon, dodging red blocks, narrow gaps, and the inevitable cliff. The track never ends and the ball never slows down. Your only inputs are left and right.
What makes Slope a 10-year evergreen is how the difficulty curves. The first 30 seconds are easy — wide track, slow speed, obvious obstacles. The next 30 seconds are tense as the ball accelerates and the track narrows. Past one minute, you're reading patterns by reflex alone, hands tight on the keys, brain pattern-matching colours and angles a second ahead of where you actually are.
Slope's leaderboard culture is part of its charm. Kids at school compete for the highest score. Teachers pretend not to notice the ball-rolling. Reaching 1000 metres is a flex; 2000 is rare; 5000 is mythical. The game makes no concessions to skill — there's no shop, no upgrades, no powers. You either dodge or you don't.
The physics in Slope are more nuanced than they look. The ball has momentum, so corrections take time. Tilted ramps in the track mean the ball curves even when you're not steering. Veteran players use ramps to control speed — letting the ball drift sideways into the wall to slow down before tight sections.

How to play Slope
Controls. Left arrow or A — steer left. Right arrow or D — steer right. There's no jump, no brake, no acceleration. Just steering.
Tips:
- Don't over-correct. Tap the keys in short bursts; held inputs send you off the edge.
- The ball drifts on tilted ramps. Use them to slow down by drifting wide.
- Red blocks are lethal. White blocks are just walls — touching them ends the run too.
- Look two screens ahead, not one. The ball is going faster than you think.
Frequently asked questions
What's the world record on Slope?
Top scores cluster around 200,000+ metres. Online communities track records on YouTube and Speedrun.com.
How do I make the ball go faster in Slope?
You can't. The ball auto-accelerates over time. The longer you survive, the faster you go.
Why does the ball jump on its own sometimes?
Slope has small ramps built into the track. Your ball goes airborne, then lands. It looks random but it's part of the level pattern.
Is Slope unblocked at UBGHyper free?
Yes — Slope on UBGHyper is 100% free, no ads on the game, no sign-up needed.
Can I play Slope on a phone?
Slope works on phones via touchscreen, but keyboard play is significantly better. Most players run it on Chromebooks at school.
