Awesome Planes is a top-down aerial combat game where you pilot a small plane through waves of enemy aircraft, upgrading your jet between missions with better weapons, faster engines, and improved armor. It's a vertical-scrolling shooter with a meaningful upgrade economy between runs.

The decisions are interesting: more speed makes dodging easier but harder to aim; more health lets you tank through hard sections but you'll take more upgrades to finish them efficiently.

Awesome Planes has multiple plane types to unlock — each with a different stats baseline. Fighter planes emphasize speed; bombers deal area damage; twin-engine models have double fire rate at the cost of maneuverability.

The game is a pure arcade shooter, built for 10-20 minute sessions. No story, no padding, just the satisfying crunch of air combat.

Controls. WASD or Arrow keys — fly. Left-click or Spacebar — shoot. Z or X — drop bomb (when equipped).

Tips:

• Keep moving — a stationary plane in Awesome Planes is a dead plane.
• Prioritize the missile launchers in early levels before upgrading offense — one missile hit ends a run.
• Fly in wide circles around enemy clusters rather than driving straight through.
• Bombs clear entire screens on dense waves — save them for the moments you're about to be overwhelmed.
