About Basket Random
Basket Random is a one-button basketball game where two cartoon characters with rubber-band physics flop around a court trying to dunk on each other. It's deliberately stupid and absolutely fun.
The brilliance of Basket Random is its single-input design. Both you and the AI use the same key — pressing it makes your character jump up, swing arms, and (sometimes) shoot the ball. The physics are intentionally ragdoll. Players flop, rebound, fall over, and occasionally accidentally score from across the court. Every match is unpredictable.
Each round is first-to-5 baskets. Backgrounds change between rounds — basketball court, beach, snowy field, retro 8-bit gym. The characters change too: pot-bellied refs, sumo wrestlers, ninjas, robots. The randomness is the gameplay. Strategy exists (timing the jump, position before pressing), but luck dominates.
Basket Random is built for two-player local couch play. One player on W, one player on Up Arrow. It's the kind of game that becomes a playground tournament — passed around between friends until someone wins by a hilarious margin. The single-player mode against AI is fine but the real game is two-player.
