About Vex 3

Vex 3 is the entry that carried the Vex stickman platformer series into its modern, browser-native era, and it's still one of the most-played in the whole run. You steer a stick figure through side-scrolling Acts crammed with buzzsaws, spikes, crushers, water sections and precise timing gates, using the full Vex movement kit — run, jump, wall-slide, wall-jump, swim and slide — to thread each hazard by a whisker.

The reason Vex games hook people is the control quality. Movement is tight and utterly consistent, so every death reads as a solvable problem rather than an unfair one — and that fairness is the engine of the endless "one more try" loop. Frequent checkpoints keep the punishment light: a mistake costs you seconds, not the whole Act, so even the hardest stretches stay motivating instead of rage-inducing.

Vex 3 refined the formula with clean, readable levels where you can scan an obstacle sequence before committing, then learn its pattern and smooth out your timing until you flow straight through. It leans on momentum and verticality — long runs where you chain a slide into a jump into a wall-climb, and shafts you scale with rapid alternating wall-jumps.

How to play Vex 3

Controls. Arrow keys or WASD: Up/W jump, Left/Right run, Down/S slide and drop through thin platforms. Fall against a wall to wall-slide, then jump to wall-jump. Tap jump to swim upward through water. It's all keyboard — no mouse needed.

Tips:

• Drill the wall-jump rhythm — many Acts are vertical shafts cleared with fast alternating wall-jumps.
• Carry momentum into gaps; a running or sliding start clears jumps a standing leap falls short of.
• Slide (Down) under saws and low ceilings — standing through them is an instant death.
• Save the Challenge stages for after the Acts; they assume you've mastered every movement the game taught you.
