Tomb of the Mask is a vertical arcade maze game with a retro-neon look and a deceptively simple hook: you dash in one of four directions and don't stop until you hit a wall. That single rule — full-speed dashes that only end on impact — turns every screen into a fast puzzle of momentum, timing and route-reading as you climb an endless procedurally-shifting tomb.

You start by finding a mask that grants the power to scale walls, and from there it's a race upward. You flick up, down, left or right and your character rockets across the maze, ricocheting off walls, snatching dots and coins, and dodging spikes, enemies and traps. In the main arcade mode a wall of hazard rises from the bottom of the screen, so you can't dawdle — you have to keep climbing, making split-second direction calls while collecting as you go.

The brilliance is how it blends Pac-Man-style collection with pinball-like momentum. Because you always travel until you hit something, planning your path is about picking which wall to stop against next, chaining dashes so you sweep up dots without slamming into a trap. It reads as chaotic but rewards deliberate route-planning, and the further you climb the tighter and deadlier the mazes get.

How to play Tomb of the Mask

Controls. Arrow keys or WASD — tap a direction to dash that way until you hit a wall. On touch, swipe in the direction you want to fling. There's no stop button; you control your character purely by choosing which wall to slam into next.

Tips:

• Plan the wall you'll stop against, not just the direction — since you travel until impact, your stopping point is your real move.
• In arcade mode the rising hazard never waits, so keep climbing; camping to grab every dot gets you caught.
• Chain dashes to sweep dot lines in one motion instead of collecting them one wall at a time.
• Watch for spikes on the wall you're about to hit — dashing into a spiked wall ends the run instantly.
