Temple Run 2 is the endless runner that defined the genre. You play an explorer who's just grabbed a cursed idol and is now sprinting for their life through a crumbling temple, chased by a giant demonic ape. The world builds itself in front of you — winding paths, broken bridges, mine-cart rails and zip-lines — and you react on the fly: turn, jump, slide and lean to survive as the run gets faster and faster.

What made Temple Run 2 a phenomenon is how it stacks simple inputs into constant tension. You swipe or press to turn corners, jump gaps, slide under obstacles, and tilt to drift sideways and hoover up the coins that snake along the path. How to play Temple Run 2

Controls. Arrow keys or swipe: Left/Right to turn corners and lean for coins, Up to jump gaps, Down to slide under obstacles. On desktop the arrows cover everything; on touch you swipe in the matching direction. Tilt/lean steers you between lanes to grab coins.

Tips:

• React to turns late, not early — the path only reveals corners at the last second, so watch the near edge.
• Jump and slide are lifesavers on the same stretch; keep both fingers ready, since obstacles alternate fast.
• Lean to sweep up coin lines without leaving your lane — coins fund every upgrade and unlock.
