Solar Smash is a planet-destruction sandbox with one simple, endlessly satisfying pitch: here is a planet, now annihilate it. There's no score, no timer, and no failure — just a beautifully rendered world and a toolbox of apocalyptic weapons to take it apart with. It's equal parts physics toy and stress relief.

The arsenal is the whole game. Fire lasers that carve glowing trenches across continents, hurl asteroids that punch craters through the crust, summon a black hole that slowly swallows the planet whole, or call down a fleet of UFOs. Each weapon interacts with the planet's physics differently — some crack the surface, some boil the oceans, some shatter the world into a drifting field of debris. Watching a planet's atmosphere strip away or its core expose is genuinely mesmerising.

Beyond the default Earth, Solar Smash lets you target other planets and even entire solar systems, each with its own look and reactions. There's a quiet creativity to it — combining weapons, timing impacts, and seeing how much destruction one world can take before it stops being a planet at all.

How to play Solar Smash

Controls. Mouse — select a weapon from the menu, then click and drag on the planet to aim and fire. Rotate the planet by dragging, and switch planets or systems from the side menu. There are no rules — experiment.

Tips:

• Combine weapons. Crack the surface with asteroids first, then a laser reaches the molten core for bigger destruction.
• Try the black hole on a fully-intact planet and just watch — it's the most dramatic weapon in the game.
• Rotate the planet as you fire to spread damage across the whole surface instead of one spot.
• Switch to other planets and systems from the menu — each reacts to weapons differently.
