About Karlson

Karlson is the fast, slippery FPS-parkour game by Dani — the Danish-accented YouTube developer whose "yo have you heard about Karlson?" running gag turned a student project into one of the most wishlisted indie games ever. This browser build is the playable Karlson experience: speed, slide, shoot, repeat.

The movement is the star. You sprint, you crouch-slide to build speed, you jump out of the slide to keep momentum, and you chain it all across low-poly levels full of crates, ramps and enemies with guns. Touch the movement keys with any rhythm at all and Karlson feels incredible — a kind of budget Titanfall where every level is a speedrun waiting to happen.

The shooting is deliberately simple: grab a gun, point it at the milk-white enemies before they point theirs at you, and keep moving because standing still is death. Weapons can be thrown when empty, and the throw itself stuns — a classic Karlson play is hurling your empty pistol at one enemy while sliding past to grab the shotgun behind him.

And then there's the milk. The goal of the game, canonically, is to get the milk. Dani built an entire community in-joke around it, and the levels honour it — finish fast, finish stylishly, get the milk.

Play Karlson unblocked at UBGHyper free in your browser, no download. If the movement clicks for you, try Ultrakill for more speed-FPS or OvO for pure parkour flow.

How to play Karlson

Controls. WASD to move, mouse to aim and shoot, Space to jump, Ctrl/C or Shift to crouch-slide (build speed, then jump out of the slide to keep it). Click picks up and fires weapons; throw an empty gun at enemies to stun them.

Tips:

  • Slide-jump everywhere. A slide into a jump carries your speed — it's faster than sprinting and harder for enemies to hit.
  • Your empty gun is a weapon: throwing it stuns the next enemy long enough to take theirs.
  • Height is safety. Enemies aim slowly upward — staying airborne off ramps and crates breaks their tracking.
  • Restart instantly when a run goes bad (the levels are short by design). Karlson is a speedrun game wearing an FPS costume.

Frequently asked questions

Who made Karlson and why is it famous?

Karlson is by Dani (Daniel Sooman), the YouTuber-developer whose devlogs turned the game into a meme — it became one of Steam's most-wishlisted games off the back of his videos and the "milk" running joke.

What does the milk mean in Karlson?

It's the community in-joke: Dani drinks milk in his videos, so milk became Karlson's collectible/goal and the fandom's whole identity. Getting the milk = beating the level.

How do I go faster in Karlson?

Chain crouch-slides into jumps. Sliding builds speed, jumping preserves it, and landing into another slide keeps the chain going. Mastering that loop is the entire skill ceiling.

Is this the full Steam version of Karlson?

This is the playable browser build of Karlson — the same movement-shooter sandbox from Dani's devlogs, running free in your tab with no download or sign-up.

Is Karlson unblocked at school?

Yes — it runs entirely in your browser at UBGHyper, so it works on most school networks and Chromebooks.
