House of Hazards is a local multiplayer party game about doing ordinary household chores while your friends try to kill you with the house itself. Each round hands every player a simple task — brush your teeth, water the plant, grab the newspaper, use the treadmill — but the catch is that everyone else can trigger the room's hazards to stop you: slamming doors, swinging golf clubs, banana peels, a firing hairdryer, a rogue vacuum. First to finish their tasks wins the round.

The comedy comes from the tug-of-war between offence and defence. On your turn to act you're rushing to complete a chore; a beat later you're yanking a lever to launch a hazard at whoever's mid-task. Because everyone shares the same cramped house, every round is a chaotic scramble of half-finished chores, sudden traps, and characters getting bonked across the room at the worst possible moment.

It's built for couch play. You can take on the CPU solo, but House of Hazards shines with two, three, or four people crowded around one keyboard, each on their own set of keys, trash-talking as they sabotage each other. How to play House of Hazards

Controls. Player 1: arrow keys to move, M to act/interact. Player 2: WASD to move, Space to act. Players 3 and 4 get their own key sets on the character-select screen. Use your action key to complete tasks — and to trigger hazards on everyone else.

Tips:

• Balance offence and defence — sabotaging rivals is useless if you never finish your own chores.
• Learn each room's hazards so you know which trap to spring the instant an opponent commits to a task.
• Time your task attempts for when opponents are busy triggering or recovering from hazards.
• It's best with friends — hand out the extra key sets and play three or four locally.
